Renee Alda Marazon is the author of several popular
publications including her most recent work entitled
The Home Visitor Handbook of Child Development: Birth to Age 12- The Marazon
System. Ms.Marazon received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ursaline College
in Pepper Pike, Ohio and a Master of education degree from Bowling Green State
University. She held a faculty position at Lourdes College in Sylvania, Ohio
from 1983 to 1997 serving as a Chairperson of the Early Childhood Education
Department from 1989-1997. While Chairperson, she designed a birth-to-grade-three
degree and certificate program. In 1985, she founded an employer-supported childcare
center in a collaborative venture between Lourdes College and the St. Vincent
Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Ms. Marazon has been a consultant to Family Communications, Inc.(Mister Rogers
Neighborhood) and is a member of the Puzzle Place Outreach Advisory Board (KCET,
California PTV). Additionally, she has served as a consultant to the Corporation
for Public Broadcasting. She is a popular speaker at local, state, and national
conferences.
Ms. Marazon has developed planning and assessment systems for classroom teachers that includes the following published works: Helping Children Grow, Develop, and Learn: Birth to Age 12; 4 Easy Steps to Developmental Planning and Assessment: Birth to Age 12; and Parent-Teacher Partnerships: Birth to Age 12. She has also developed Marazon System publications for family childcare and home visitor programs. The Marazon Systems are used around the world in public and private school settings, college classrooms, Head Start, YMCA's, early intervention, home school education, and military child and youth programs around the world.
In addition to her professional publications Ms. Marazon has written Deliverance Prayer: A Matter of Wisdom, Discernment, and Obedience. She has coordinated, directed and presented at Christian conferences, retreats, missions, and days of renewal.
